New guidelines for the LEI application of investment funds

Effective March 31, 2022, as part of the implementation of the new LEI ROC policies, investment funds will in the future have three new potential fund relationships captured as part of the Level 2 data. These include the following three individual relationship types: 

  • Fund relationship data between funds and the capital management company
  • Fund relationship data between funds and an overlying umbrella fund
  • Data on the fund relationship between the fund and an overlying master-feeder fund

Only LEI-to-LEI relationships are recorded in this context.
